True Grit: What successful leaders know about passion and perseverance

Definition of Grit: perseverance and passion for long-term goals

What do Bill Gates, Tiger Woods, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Lady Gaga and Tom  Hanks have in common?  Three things: they are passionate, they have tremendous perseverance, and they all dropped out of college. Successful leaders don’t come in any particular shape or form.  While leading  requires education, succeeding requires courage, conviction, and grit. Failed leaders share this – they lack true and powerful conviction in their ideas, and they are unable to keep going when they are tired, frustrated, bored or disheartened.
